"I am the living bread that came down from heaven..." John 6:51

Family Meal

Now that you are officially a member of God's family and have a permanent place at his table forever, you might be asking, "what do I do next?"

(If you have no idea what we're talking about, please take time to view our      Join Me at the Table page to watch a short video prepared especially for you.)

  • Start by reading God's Word (the Bible) daily. It is so important for you to know the heart of the Lord and His Words are a true way to do that.  A good place to start is in the Gospel of John. If you don't have a hard copy of the bible available to you, download a bible app on your cell phone.       YouVersion is a great one for you to start with.

  • Pray. This is how you communicate with the Lord through the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). The Holy Spirit is the very presence of God given as a gift to all who have chosen a life in Christ. The infilling of the Holy Spirit follows the salvation experience and empowers believers with power and understanding of spiritual truth. A growing and maturing Spirit-filled life is characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

  • Find a local church that teaches God's Word to help deepen your relationship with Him and to be in a community of others in faith. A support group of like-minded believers is vital to a healthy walk with the Lord.

  • Get water Baptized. Show the world the change in your heart. When you make a decision to follow Jesus, the next steps of obedience is water baptism. This step allows us to show others that we have personally trusted in Jesus for salvation.

Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do it to follow His example. When believers are baptized,  they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.

      Baptism says:

  1. You are a follower of Jesus.

  2. You are beginning a changed life in Christ.

  3. You are part of a new family.

  • Invite others to join you at the table, where all are welcome.  Tell them about what Jesus has done for you in your life & how they can have their own seat next to the King of kings too!!
